Law enforcers, computer forensics practitioners and scientists from around the world have on ICoFCS a forum to present their latest experience and research findings in all aspects of cyber crime investigation. In addition to technical sessions of submitted paper presentations, ICCyber offers workshops, tutorials, and commercial presentations & exhibits. The ICCyber represent a unique international gathering of forensic computer practitioners, law enforcement and scientists from around the world. Now, more than ever, we prize this annual meeting as a testament to the strength of international cooperation in seeking to apply forensic computer science to a safer cyber space. DEADLINES July 31st, 2007: Electronic submission of full papers (2000-5000 words). August 31st, 2007: Acceptance notifications. September 8th, 2007: Electronic submission of camera-ready papers. REVIEWING PROCESS All papers must be submitted electronically as PDFs by July 31st, 2007 as instructed by the conference website: http://www.iccyber.org/submission A submitted paper is initially reviewed to determine whether the topic and treatment are appropriate for the Conference. It is then evaluated by three or more independent reviewers (double-blind review), randomly selected from the Program Committee’s members and from the additional reviewers. BEST PAPER AWARD The best paper will be selected based on the input from the reviewers and conference organizing committee. Papers are judged for their clarity, the originality of the work, the paper's potential importance to the field of Forensic Computer Science and the practical impact on Cyber Crime investigations/combat. The best paper will receive an award of R$2.500,00 (approx. US$1,000), an award plaque, certificate, regular air ticket for one of the authors, up to seven nights stay at conference hotel (for one of the authors) and a per diem allowance of R$130,00 (approx. US$50). According to the quality of the reviewed papers, a first runner-up and second runner-up may be awarded if the reviewers and conference committee judge appropriate. The first runner-up and second runner-up, if approved by the conference organizing committee, may be awarded with travel and hotel expenses for one of the authors and per diem allowance of R$130,00 (approx. US$50). SUBMISSION OF PAPERS Papers should be submitted via the conference web site at http://www.iccyber.org/submission A login and password, as well as detailed instructions about how to submit an electronic paper, will be sent to the author in a subsequent email message. Authors must then submit a formatted electronic version of their paper through this website no later than Tuesday, July 31, 2007. We cannot accept papers submitted by email or fax. Submissions received after the deadlines or that do not meet the length or formatting requirements detailed in the submission website may not be accepted for review. Notification of receipt of the electronic paper will be mailed to the author soon after receipt. If there are problems with the electronic submission, ICCyber2007 will contact the primary author by email. Camera-ready PDFs of accepted papers in ICCyber2007 will be due on September 8th, 2007.
